Personal profile
Matt is a management trainer, facilitator, author, and academic with a particular focus on the place where leadership meets language. As an English native speaker working across German-speaking Europe, he has spent his career closing the gap between what leaders mean to say, what they actually say, and what their international teams hear.
He holds an M.A. in Linguistics and is an academic for a Doctor of Administration program at the University of Gloucestershire. He lectures in Communication Studies, Team Management, and Intercultural Communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, and he writes books on the subject for practitioners.
His work as an Associate Partner of the Munich Leadership Group spans leadership communication, intercultural collaboration, rhetoric and presentation skills, meeting and time management, negotiations, telephone training, and business etiquette. He is equally at home in an executive coaching session, a boardroom rehearsal, and a classroom.
Matt is based in Germany and works in English with leaders and teams across Europe.
