MLG is expressly committed to protecting your privacy and the personal data you may provide to MLG when you access or use materials on the website munichleadership.com, including the subscription pages of the site. Collection and Processing of Data
MLG collects data from users when they register for this website, request copies of publications, seek additional information regarding our services or employment opportunities, or register for conferences and other MLG-sponsored events. We use this data to tailor our website to the needs of its visitors. MLG will not sell such data to third parties, except that we may pass the data on to service providers acting on our behalf.
Email Addresses
We collect the email addresses of users who register to receive notifications by email or express interest in our services. We do not pass email addresses on to third parties and do not send unsolicited emails to the addresses we collect, except in the cases described in this privacy policy.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and it does not share data with advertising networks. The web analytics described below works entirely without cookies. Some technically necessary information is stored locally in your browser — see „Local storage in your browser“.
Web Analytics (Umami)
To understand how our website is used, we run Umami, an open-source analytics tool. We host Umami ourselves on our own server in Germany; the data is stored in our own database in Germany and is not passed on to any third party. Umami does not use cookies and does not create profiles across websites.
The following is recorded: the pages visited and the time of the visit, the referring website or search engine, an approximate region derived from the IP address, as well as browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. Visitors are counted using a value that is newly calculated each day from the IP address, the browser identifier and a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored, and after the end of the day this value can no longer be linked to you.
Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a statistically sound and privacy-preserving measurement of our website’s reach. You may object to this processing at any time using the contact details below.
Session Recording and Heatmaps
We also use the session-replay and heatmap function of Umami, which likewise runs exclusively on our own server in Germany. It records how the page is used — mouse movements, scrolling, clicks and navigation between pages — so that we can find and fix usability problems. Entries in form fields are masked by the recorder and are not transmitted; passwords are never recorded.

Local Storage in Your Browser
We store two small entries in your browser’s local storage: one records that you have visited before, so the opening animation is shown only once; the other remembers your language choice. Both remain on your device, are not transmitted to us, and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings.
Contact Form and Spam Protection
If you use our contact form, we process the details you enter there in order to answer your enquiry. To protect the form against automated misuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. Turnstile evaluates technical characteristics of your browser and your IP address in order to distinguish humans from bots; it does not set any tracking cookies. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (protection against misuse) and, for answering your enquiry, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
International Exchange of Information
MLG is a globally operating company. It may therefore happen that information collected via this website is exchanged between MLG offices or passed on to third parties around the world, including offices outside the European Economic Area. By using this website, you voluntarily consent to this information being shared internationally.
Security Measures
MLG uses technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, manipulation or deletion. Only authorized employees and contractors have access to the data you have provided. However, MLG cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not gain access to your personal data.
Compliance with Laws
MLG complies with all applicable data protection laws and regulations. MLG may be compelled to disclose users' or customers' personal data to the judicial authorities without their express consent in order to comply with a court summons or a comparable judicial or administrative order.
